Time Flies….

when you’re having fun!

Its been quite the year for outgoing master Andrew Knight, having been installed into the chair of our lodge in April, he was then made chairman of the Gloucestershire Light Blues Club in June.

Andrew has been out and about around the province (and beyond) and at the time of writing he has made over 80 visits, plus has also visited every masonic hall/ centre in the province representing the lodge and the Light Blues.

Within the lodge he has carried out all three ceremonies for our initiate this year and has also conducted a second degree ceremony for the Lodge of Seafarers.

We have enjoyed several different lodge nights with a quiz and curry, a historical recreation of the grand lodge being formed and had a talk about the masonic GOAT!

The highlight though has to be the money raised for charity with £2518 raised and donated for local causes including his charity Alive Activities which also benefitted from a further £573 in match funding.

Andrew and his family have also given their own time to volunteer at one of the allotment sites where the charity works.

Its been a great year for the lodge and we look forward to seeing Andrew install his successor into the masters chair at the end of the month, which will be quite a nice evening for them both as it was incoming Master Dave Coleman who initiated Andrew into masonry back in 2017.
