Young and old battled side by side on Friday 13th June to test their skills (and luck) on a range of old and new pub games, with the goal of being crowned Junior or Adult Champion and take home the coveted and custom made trophies.
It was evident in the scores submitted that for some they had spent too much time in the pub, while for others their university days were clearly spent studying instead.
For some the frustration was evident as they had many “practice” attempts before recording their top score with Shove ha’penny and the Ring Swing being a tricky one to master.
The games were accompanied by a fantastic buffet put on by Clare and Nic the wives of our WM and Charity Steward. And a huge thanks to them for all their effort. Thanks also to Mangotsfield Football Club for hosting us, a great venue and really welcoming.
After the scores were announced and the trophies handed out, most attendees drained from the high level of competition retired to their seats to enjoy a well earned drink, while the kids had their first taste of a game of Killer Skittles.
Thanks to everyone who came along to support, as well as a great evening we also raised £240 which has been donated to the charity for the year Alive Activities.
