Nine members of the lodge made the long trip over to Park Street last night for our fraternal visit to St Vincent’s Lodge 1404.
The visits between our two lodges have been happening for over 40 years and for our newer members on their first visit it was a chance to see Bristol workings with a double initiation.
One of the two candidates was a Lewis (the son of a mason) and his father a member of Jordan Lodge No 1339, had made the trip all the way from his home in Lebanon to be there for the night, although thanks to the issues at Heathrow Airport last week almost didn’t make it.
A fantastic meal followed and it was nice for us to all be able to relax and enjoy the food together, although Terry having recently broken his wrist needed the assistance of Andy to cut his food for him!
A great time was had by all, and despite it being a school night a few members even retired to the Square & Compass for a nightcap!
