What a great way to finish 2024 with an initiation of a new Brother.

Some of the members and other visitors may have wondered if they had turned up in Park Street by mistake as the lodge was joined by members of St Vincent’s Lodge including the APGM for the Province of Bristol, and members of Dolphin and St Nicholas, which meant there was lots of Bristol Provincial ties on display!

The fraternal visit of St Vincent’s has being happening since the 1970’s but for the first time in quite some years they saw an initiation as opposed to a passing.

The candidate was introduced by our Junior Warden Rich who was able to take on the role of Deacon for the night and lead his friend round.

The candidate was as to be expected quite confused about what had just happened, but when he responded to his toast said he is keen to understand more and looks forward to his journey in the craft.

The festive board followed with a hearty meal, not turkey thankfully as most members have already had a few early Xmas dinners this month.

The evening raised £290 for good causes, of which £235 was from the raffle.

Thanks to all of the visitors and members who were in attendance and ensured the candidate had a night to remember.
