What a fabulous evening we had last night and it’s hard to pick a highlight.
From the arrival of the Provincial delegation of Assistant Provincial Grand Master W Bro Ian Davies, to the Tyler’s toast it was an installation to remember.
We installed Shaun Finn into the masters chair and was witness to some great ritual from several members of the lodge and our visitors, the address to the brethern was beautifully given by the Assistant PGM and a regular guest asked to join the perambulations.
The lodge members were pleased to hear during the risings two proposals for joining members and for two new candidates further strengthening our numbers.
After our new master was welcomed to the festive board we tucked into his chosen meal of a lovely roast chicken and caught up with old friends and new.
There was some interesting and slightly delayed gavelling from newly promoted Junior Warden Andrew Knight who was getting used to the extra responsibility and not getting distracted.
The Assistant PGM sporting his honorary Prorsum Semper tie explained to the lodge all about the light blues club which the new members of the lodge were keen to learn more about after the meal was finished.
We only have one meeting left before the summer break and we will be doing a demonstration first degree making sure our ritual is all tuned up ready for our first candidate in September.
